FAQ
Floor mats:
I do not know if the floor mats are original but it has the original insulation underneath the mats. Some years ago new insulation was added but I left the original horse hair insulation.
Doors:
The joints, latches and locks of the rear and side doors were white lithium greased over the years. They all function but the top rear hatch is not smooth. The tailgate is not rusted out as with many Willys. It has some rust but is functional and all the hinges are intact.
WheelWell:
The wheel wells are not rusted through or damaged from snow. The worst case of aging is on the rear passenger wheel well and I have a photo highlighting that which is about the size of a dime. The rear leaf springs have exterior rust but function, car rides fine. The car has snow tires on it currently but was only driven either to shows or as a backup car if my main car broke down. I have the snow tires on it currently mainly to preserve the other rims.
General operation:
With regard to the operating condition of the car, it operates/drives well. The car starts immediately without delay. The top speed of the car the is slightly between the 6 and the 7 on the highway in 3rd gear. It does not have aftermarket overdrive to my knowledge. I have driven it to show the car these past couple weeks 20-40 miles round trip. It has reliably returned me home without complication. It does not sway or feel shotty.
Body:
This car is in pretty good condition. It is far from and much nicer than a rusted total restoration needed shell. It is a cared for over the years original car from 1962. It has places that need restored from a perfectionist perspective but it is an operational piece of machinery in good working order.
Electrical:
The electrical system of the car works, wipers, horn, blinker, 4 ways etc. I do not know what type of mechanical engine the windshield wipers have but they work.
Parts: I have extra parts for the car including another set of rims and wheels.
Email is a better contact than phone as I am at work during day 8-5. The best time for me to show the car is after 5:30 weekdays or preferably on Saturday or Sunday anytime during the day
