1948 Willy’s-Overland Jeepster

A must have, a rarity not found on roads today. Catch a glimpse of a Jeepster and consider it your lucky day. Built in America, this eye catching, sporty, fun to drive, drop top is one of a kind.
This 1948 Willy’s Overland Jeepster speedometer reads only 5,709 miles. Overall very good condition. Color is a Dark Cherry Red and Grey two-tone with a white soft top. Interior color is Grey, Red and White.
Restored to its original, you’ll find inside a split-bench with a fold down front passenger seat and a bench backseat. The front dash complements the chrome panel with “Willy’s Overland” under the odometer. The gauges within the panel also include the speedometer, fuel gauge, oil and temperature pressure. Completing the look is a large steering wheel with a “W” in the middle and a column shifter. Considered deluxe features in the late 1940’s included sun visors, wind wings, locking glove box, and cigar lighter. Windshield is split with 3 locking latches to secure the soft top. Newer carpeted flooring.
Soft top has been restored to original. There are 2 removable side curtains (windows) on each side. Soft top folds down nicely and fits snug behind the backseat with storage for the side curtains.
Included but not installed is a radio and box heater.
This Jeepster has a solid frame, newer paint job reflective to original colors. There are some minor chips in paint. In front is a T-shaped grille and chrome bumper pulls together the sporty look with the eye popping fenders and chrome side steps. Side steps do have some pebbling. In the back you got a one-piece chrome bumper with “Willys Overland” scripted in the middle, and spare tire with tire cover. Not installed but have original taillights.
Engine is powered by L-head “Go Devil” 4cyl, 63 hp, 3 speed manual with overdrive. Jeepster has sat for 20 years, thus needs mechanical work. Engine has seized. Price is reflective.
Grab this Jeepster before someone else snags it. The price is set to reflect the very good overall condition and mechanical work needed. This Jeepster is a good investment, with some additional work on engine and some touch ups one could easily double their money for resale if you choose, or keep for pleasure rides or show.
