The Jeep CJ models are a series of open bodied off-road vehicles built and sold by several successive incarnations from 1945 to 1986. In fact, the 1945 model was the world’s first mass produced 4 wheel drive vehicle for civilian use. As a result the CJ stands for Civilian Jeep. The Willys CJ-5 was influenced by the corporate owner (Kaiser) as well as the M38A1 Jeep used in the Korean War. Continuing for 3 decades until 1986 the CJ-5 has the distinct honor of being the vehicle with longest production run of any vehicle ever sold. This particular example was restored about 20 years ago at which time it was repainted in its original color of Cherokee Orange. When it was restored it had just over 50,000 original miles and it was in perfect mechanical condition. The original 72hp 4 cylinder engine and T90 Borg Warner 3 speed manual transmission were fully serviced and run perfectly. All the wear items were replaced, it has a complete set of American Specialty replica 6.00-15LT tires and it was also upgraded with a Bestop Bimini top as well as soft doors. It has been driven maybe 1,000 miles since and is in overall excellent condition. As such we would appraise it at $28,950 based on the current N.A.D.A. values shown below. We are serious about selling it and have priced it accordingly so if you like what you see you should contact us A.S.A.P. SOLD
