This 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle is for sale in our Louisville Kentucky Showroom. From 1938 to 2003 Volkswagen produced more than 21.5 million Beetles. In 1971 the Super Beetle was introduced, featuring a McPherson strut front suspension and a redesigned front end, resulting in a tighter turning radius, despite having a 20mm longer wheelbase, and doubling the front cargo volume. In 1973 a curved windscreen was introduce allowing for a redesigned padded dashboard. This Beetle is in excellent condition, with a relatively freshly rebuilt 1600cc H4, that has been dressed out nicely with chrome accents. The power from the engine is shifted to a manual 4 speed transmission. The exterior has been painted with a shade of blue that will surely make any girl out there turn red with envy. The eye lashes to the head lights are a nice finishing touch. The interior is gray cloth tweed and shows very well. The interior door handles, window cranks, locks, clutch, brake and gas pedals have been dressed out in billet aluminum. For a little added bling, a chrome shifter with T-handle has been added. The gray tweed has also been used in the trunk to tie in the overall custom theme of this Super Beetle. You can make it a daily driver with its ridiculous gas mileage or take it to the car shows and hang out with some cool people. Either way you are sure to get a ton of looks in this classic, yet flashy well put together Super Beetle.
