For sale:
1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle, 1600 single port with absolutely 0 rust and strait body. Pan is in great shape and has no holes from rust. Runs great, Stops great, Shifts great and drives strait. This car was purchased from a local dealer in May of 2006; it has been parked in a garage since that time. Car was stock when it was purchased, and since that time I have modified extensively and repaired several of the issues it had when it was purchased. The lists of modifications are as follows:
-No fuel smell, entire charcoal canister system eliminated.
-Front end lowered 5 inches with TOPLINE adjustable super low kit/ with tie rod flip-it kit, Bugpack sway bar, and stock springs, car does NOT have the super shakes that affect these models.
-Rear has been lowered 5.5 inches using Bugzylla fabrications IRS Spring plate extensions, grade 8 bolts and spring plates have been notched to ensure that they do not bottom out. New Monroe Gas shocks and New Poly bump stops. Car rides very good but it is very low, so care is needed to drive. With this suspension setup however it can be raised anywhere from this low height to its stock height in less than 2 hours, for no money.
-Front tires are Continentals 145/65/15 rear are stock 165/r15. All new
-Wheels have been stripped down to bare metal and repainted, fitted with Mangles center caps and have chrome beauty rings.
-EMPI wheel stud kit fitted to all 4 wheels, with new chrome lug nuts.
-New chrome half moon vents
-New Side view mirror
-New Euro style tail lights
-New Chrome eyelids
-Shaved Antenna
-Shaved turn signals
-Shaved rear apron and bumpers
-Shaved hood release (hood can be opened from passenger inner fender with a modified cable system.
-Shaved gas tank door (To fill tank you simply pop the hood and fill to the modified fuel neck.
- Entire exterior of car has been painted with Red Oxide and White primer. Paint work is very good with only a few minor flaws, it is spray painted.
-Stock Running board that has had spray on bed liner coating applied.
- New Gas tank/ fuel lines and filler neck (filter relocated under tank to avoid any engine fire issues)
-Motor is stock 1600 single port that runs great
-Chrome engine dress up kit fitted
-New BOSCH coil
-New Plug wires
-EMPI header with Stinger exhaust and silencer

This car is a great driver and only has a few issues. I have not yet finished the interior, I was going to build a new dash and put new gauges in. The car does not currently have any dash installed but a new one could be fitted easily. The rear deck has not been painted or installed, I can finish if the price is right. Front Seat belts not installed, the Carb will need a rebuild and front fender beading not installed. But the major issue I have not sorted out is the electrical. The Headlights, Brake lights, turn signal are not currently reliably working, I suspect a number of bad grounds but the entire harness is in car and is in very good shape. Again the car is in great running condition and I feel comfortable driving it anywhere. Included with the sale are numerous Stock parts that have been removed from the car during the rebuild and 2 extra 165r15 tires. I have had some financial issues that are forcing the sales.
