Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a stunning 1977 Triumph Spitfire. The Triumph Spitfire 1500 saw a 6 year run in the US ending in 1980. Engine output changed a few times over the years but for the most part the model remained unchanged over its run. The roadster was a lightweight, low slung sports car which relied on a busy little 1,500cc Inline 4 cylinder for power. This power plant may seem meager, but for a vehicle weighing in under 1,900 pounds, the output is more than enough. This particular example is a 1977 model which has undergone an extensive cosmetic restoration to make it one of the straightest, most presentable Spitfires you will find. The body has been completely hand sanded to a completely smooth surface. It is finished in Sherwin-Williams
