1954 Studebaker Pro-Street Commander (Stephenson, Va) $49,900 - OBO
This vehicle is truly one of a kind, it has had well over $100k invested in it over the course of the years. Powered by a 468cu v8 Chevy big block that has been balanced and blue printed, a BDS 871 polished blower, steel crank, blower pistons, closed chamber heads, solid cam, roller rockers, custom valve covers, two 750 Barry Grant Demon blower carbs, a nitrous system, polished bird catcher, Hooker headers, 14 quart oil system, and a custom dual exhaust with Flow Master race mufflers. This vehicle has the power you can feel with a very full and pleasing sound. This Studebaker is coming with a fully built Turbo 400 automatic race transmission. Trans modifications include Manual shift kit, reverse valve body, and a custom shifter. This does have a custom drive shaft with safety loops, a Currie narrowed Ford 9" Nodular iron rear end with 4.11 gears on a Detroit Locker set up. The rest of the build has had no expense sparred either as it is coming with Currie 31 spline axles, tubs, 2 × 3 mild steel rear frame, 5 link suspension, wheelie bars, front disk, rear drum brakes, Radir wheels with Mickey Thompsons, a 12 point cage, 16 gallon fuel cell with electric fuel pumps, this has also been custom wired, and is coming with a 5 gallon custom radiator by Ron Davis that will keep the engine cool even on the hottest of days. This is an all steel body, that has been chopped 3" in the front, the head lights and tail lights are frenched, it has luvered inner fenders, hood, rear end of trunk and rear belly pan. This is a Mercedes windshield that has had glass cut to fit and tinted lime green. The bumpers have been molded to body, the wing obviously adds a little flair as does the Porche lime green paint with painted candy graphics. The interior is a black and it is coming with vinyl pro car racing seats, black carpet, tilt wheel, and Auto meter gauges. Over $35,000 has been invested in the Complete engine and transmission blueprint and rebuild less than 800 miles ago. This specific Commander runs strong and pulls straight. This is a definite head turner and great street or show car. You can try to find another 54 steel Studebaker like this, but I don't believe that you'll have much success. The owner would like to sell so feel free to throw offers his way. However, by no means is he desperate so please do not insult us.
