Called "America's Greatest Racecar" by historians.
*** THIS IS NOT A KIT! ***
Up for sale is this very rare AUTHENTIC Shelby Daytona Coupe. This is one of only three cars completed in the ten car continuation series from Shelby. Serial number CSX7063.
History about the "Real Continuation" Shelby Daytona Coupes:
Caroll Shelby licensed to build an additional ten Daytona Coupes years after winning LeMans. Shelby dug deep into his resources to assign this task. Eventually the task of building the ten additional Daytona Coupes was given to one of the most gifted craftsmen in Shelby's network of associates, Lee Benson.
Located in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania, the task of building these ten pieces of modern history began. But unlike the 90 days it took the original Shelby team to create the first Daytona Coupe, the first of these ten Daytona Coupes took over three years to complete. Pieces for the car were created with exacting precision so that the authenticity of the original cars were preserved.
This vehicle is first and currently the only aluminum bodied Daytona Coupe produced in the ten run manufacturing series. Unlike many Daytona Coupe rebodies, replicas, etc produced today, this Shelby Daytona Coupe CSX7063 is sold with an authentic Manufacturer Statement of Origin which lists this vehicle as an actual Daytona Coupe. See the actual reproduced document (we blurred out most of the document to prevent reproduction of this authentic document).
Currently Shelby Daytona Coupe CSX7063 is being offered for sale as a completed painted "roller" (minus engine and transmission). It is being stored in a climate controled environment awaiting final build of the drivetrain at the customer's request.
In most cases these rare Daytona Coupes are usually traded in secrecy out of the public's eye. However, Shelby Daytona Coupe CSX7063 is now being offered for sale to the general public.
Shelby Daytona Coupe CSX7063 has been recognized and accepted by numerous vintage racing organizations (SVRA, HSR, HRG, etc). This car and it's sister car have been authorized to participate in and have been granted "logbooks" to be used in event participation. As a note, only authentic vehicles are allowed to compete in these prestigious vintage events - no "replicas or kit car" are allowed.
Don't let this piece of American history pass you by. Add one of the rarest vehicles in history to your car collection today! Various drivetrain options are available upon purchase for an additional cost.SOLD
