1966 Rambler American 440

Dare to be different and more than likely you will never see another one at the cruise night! I am not sure how these cars got un-noticed but they make a really cool looking Muscle car. This super straight rust free example was refinished in Flash Green Metallic and all of the original stainless and chrome trim is in amazing condition. The 15 inch wheels are one off custom built steelies made by Wheel Vintiques and are charcoal color powder coated and accept the original restored dog dish caps for that sleeper look. The interior is mostly original with some fresh comfortable seat upholstery, original steering wheel and the addition of an under dash temp gauge, MSD shift light, Precision Performance floor shifter, custom safety belts and an under dash Pioneer AM/FM Stereo unit with Bluetooth connectivity. All the good stuff is under the hood! Starting with a slightly bored and balanced 304 V8 with a guesstimated 400 Horsepower, 10.1 compression to run on pump gas, hydraulic thumper cam, Edelbrock Aluminum Heads, Edelbrock Aluminum intake, Holley 650 Double Pumper carburetor, MSD ignition with billet distributor, Edelbrock long tube headers with 2.5 inch dual exhaust and flow master mufflers, AMC Torque Flight automatic transmission with a Boss Hoss 3500 stall converter and ending with an AMX 3.54 Ratio Posi-Traction rear differential. Sub-frame connectors and some Lakewood traction bars keep everything tight and putting the power to the asphalt. With an original factory curb weight of only 2500 lbs this clean little Hardtop feels like a slingshot! SOLD
