This Washington-native Porsche 911 SC Targa had 96.000 Miles when we bought it 5 years ago. It drives really well.
It still has its original owner's manual and radio booklets. The low original mileage of less than 108k miles is fully documented through an extensive collection of records for the past 30 years. The last years it has been maintained at Stuttgart Autotech in Lake Oswego. 2 years ago they overhauled the clutch mechanism. Engine was lowered allowing to do several other jobs that you can only do with the engine down. New parts for the clutch mechanism, new electrical wire harness, repairs on fuel & oil lines. Fuel injection was retuned, new ignition control unit and ignition coil. L side drive axle was replaced. Front and rear brake flex hoses were replaced. The Sport leather seats were also refurbished with new leather upholstery 2 years ago.
BODY CONDITION: Extremely straight with a couple of minor dings. Body panel lines and gaps are flawless. Trunk and engine compartment sidewalls are 100% straight, original and free of any previous damage. Thanks to a fully galvanized body and Northwest life, there is no rust anywhere.
PAINT: Has a few chips and scratches, but has excellent shine. ‘Seafoam’ blue/green paint against its chrome trim makes for a stunning look. All Porsche factory tags and stickers are still intact and nice.
INTERIOR: Front factory Porsche Sport seats (alone worth around $1200). New upholstery was installed 2 years ago. Rear seats are—as is typically the case with 911’s—perfect. Dash in flawless condition with no cracks. Carpet is original and is in wonderful condition. Targa top is in very good condition. Door panels and all other side paneling is original and in excellent condition. Trunk carpet is very nice. Original tool kit still present.
ELECTRICAL: All lights, signals, fans, clock, horn, power windows, mirrors, antenna, wipers, gauges, etc all work flawlessly. Original Blaupunkt AM/FM radio is wired into a 6-disc CD changer located below the passenger seat with a remote control that sounds great.
MECHANICAL: No smoke, not when cold, not upon hard acceleration, not when warm, not at all. No oil leaks. Transmission shifts great with no grinding. These are extremely well-built cars and with normal maintenance they are also very reliable cars to own…often lasting to 300k miles before any major mechanical work required. Also, conservative drivers can expect around 30 mpg/hwy. SOLD
