The Pontiac Firebird was built by Pontiac between 1967 and 2002. The first generation Firebirds had a characteristic Coke bottle styling. The second generation debut for the 1970 model year was delayed until February 26, 1970 and was designated as a 1970½ model. Replacing the Coke bottle styling was a more swoopy body style, with the top of the rear window line going almost straight down to the lip of the trunk. A distinctive, slant-nose facelift occurred in 1977 and was redone again somewhat in 1979. This particular example was just repainted in its original color of Cameo White and looks awesome with it original Carmine cloth interior and color coordinated decals that are correct to the car. It was a CA car so it was optioned with the Olds 403 ci 6.6 liter engine which currently has 85,153 original miles on it, it is numbers matching and it runs great. The only things that are not correct on the car are the performance intake manifold, the Cragar rims and the Pioneer stereo. The original intake and complete set of snowflake wheels will be included with your purchase as pictured. This car is nicely optioned with power windows, locks and mirrors as well as air conditioning and cruise control. The only other issue with the car is the badge for the passenger door panel needs a mounting bracket. This car has been recently serviced and everything is working as it should except for the a/c, the c/c and the cigarette lighter. Overall we would classify this as a number 2 car which we would appraise at $29,120. We have priced it as #3 car for a quick sale so if you like what you see you better call us before it’s too late!
