This is a running and driving 1977 Pontiac Y82 code Smokey and the bandit Trans Am. I am selling this car for a friend of mine who has had it for about 15 years it has only been out a few times sense the rebuilt 455 and the rebuilt turbo 400 was put in. This from factory was a 400 4 speed t-top car with the black and gold package. I have the BUILD SHEET to prove all the options on the car and the Vin body tag and build sheet numbers all are correct. I still have the four speed center counsel shift boot and clutch petal that came out of the car, when the automatic was put in. The motor runs strong and the trans shifts right on. This car is in need of a restoration and dose have under body rust on some of the floor trunk floor and frame rails but it can be fixed. I worked in a body shop and have worked on my share in my opinion this car is restorable. It had a small front end crunch that the owner did and that is why there is damage to the front. The sub frame seems ok and so dose the core support. I don’t know what happened to the # matching motor or trans but the rear axle seem correct. The motor that is in the car now is a YC code 72 455 with 72 455 4 barrel heads 7M5 code. I believe the trans is a 73 400. I have seen a lot of replicas and real ones. This is a real unrestored SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT. THERE WAS ONLY AROUND 6000 + of these made black and gold and about 1200 400 4 speed with T-tops that year and is one of the most collectable trans am made. If you have any questions about this car would like to see it or have it inspected please call Dylan @ 1-414-254-1902 day or night or e-mail me at dylan@greenbusinessconcepts.org . 4100.00 OBO I have seen them done # correct for 40 to 50 thousand and ones that are clones for 15 to 25 thousand. Don’t let this one pass you by. SOLD
