The original Grand Am was introduced in the fall of 1972 as a 1973 model. It was based on the GM A platform (A-body) along with other cars such as the Chevrolet Laguna and the Buick Grand Sport. Although the first generation was produced for 3 years there were certain features unique to the 73 such as the Endura front bumper, six grill openings with vertical bars, round front turn signals and horizontal rear taillights. When we acquired this vehicle there were a few issues that needed sorting out. The original engine was missing so we found a date code correct 400ci V8 that was recently rebuilt. It retains its original T400 tranny and 10 bolt posi rear end. It has a new steering column, the electrical was all sorted out so that everything works properly and we installed a new set of rims and tires. The body was freshly straightened, primed and dipped in a cool matte black which is accented with matching gold rims and trim. The interior has racing seats, a newer stereo, gauges and a new steering wheel along with a custom center console. We would conservatively appraise this as a # 3 vehicle which would be valued at the N.A.D.A. average retail value which is currently $18,500. We are serious about selling this one and have priced it accordingly. If you like what you see we suggest that you reach out before someone else does! SOLD
