1966 Pontiac GTO Tri-power 4-Speed REAL Numbers-Matching & Restored.
This is a rare real numbers-matching 242 coded 1966 GTO hard top with factory WS coded 360 HP Tri-power 389, Muncie M20 4-speed & 3.55 Posi-traction original rear-end and PHS documentation.
This tri-power 66 GTO was built during the 3rd week of April 1966 so it was one of the very last tri-power GTO to ever be produced since less than 20% of all 66 GTO were WS factory coded and 1966 was the last year tri-power was offered in a GTO.
The car has completely restored and has been driven only 255 miles since the completion of the restoration. The car has been professionally painted with GM EvenStar Grey Pearl paint, all trim is bright and straight and the glass is excellent. It is an understatement to say this is one of the most beautiful GTOs ever produced.
The tri-power 66 GTO is a real pleasure to drive. It has plenty of power at any speed, provides smooth shifting, solid stopping power, responsive power steering, bucket seats with console, full gauges and instrumentation, quiet body, and comfortable ride unlike other cars of the muscle car era.
The original option wood steering wheel, new tilt steering column, dual master cylinder, and power brake booster is available but not yet installed on the car.
