1973 PONTIAC GTO SPORT COUPE
This 1973 Pontiac GTO Sport Coupe is one of the rarest GTO cars you will find. First off, total production numbers were only 4,806 and of that number, only 2,867 were built like this sport coupe. The hood ducts were one of the main distinguishing features of the 1973 GTO and was the only production car to ever use them. You so seldom ever see these cars that some GTO fans deny they exist and to add to its rarity, included is the original build sheet, copy of the window sticker, along with other original paperwork.
This car is original and unbelievably well preserved, with one repaint back to the original color. According to previous owner and belief, the car only has 72,852 actual miles. The paint is very good with high gloss and free of any scratches of chips. The bumpers look new, the bright work as well as the glass looks very good. Weather stripping is excellent and free of cracks and tears.
This car has all the evidence of spending its life inside! The interior is exceptionally nice with no cracks in the dashboard or steering wheel and would pass for a nearly new car. Factory options include A/C, AM – FM radio, tinted glass, bucket seats and console, power steering, tilt wheel, in dash tach and gauges and power front brakes and rear drum brakes.
The engine is a 400 CI L78, automatic transmission. The engine compartment is completely original, even to the cast iron exhaust manifolds, with the exception of a chrome breather. The valve covers and master cylinder cover looks factory fresh. Underneath the GTO has a clean factory appearance as well as the trunk compartment. The wheels are factory Pontiac Ralleys with 255/60/15 Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires in the front and rear.
