1973 Firebird -- New 400 4bbl engine -- 80% complete install
This is a classic 1973 Firebird Esprit, which I've been planning to rebuild as a formula. Unfortunately, my situation has changed, and it has to go immediately. My loss is your gain.
It has a newly rebuilt 400 in the car, but the installation isn't complete, although, I believe everything needed to complete the installation is included.
The car itself is in good condition, with the only rust I can find being around the back window. There isn't any body damage except for a minor ding below the rear bumper and a small impression on the rear driver-side fender. Interior is mostly good, but the ceiling is old and need a little work, as well as the driver's seat. Also, the dash has a couple of heat cracks. Aside from that, the regular wear and tear isn't too bad.
It was originally a 350 2bbl with dual straight exhaust. The engine developed a water leak at the junction where the timing chain cover meets the intake manifold. Rather than fix it, that gave me an excuse to replace the 350 with the 400 that I wanted. I still have the 350 if you want it.
The weatherstripping needs replaced and the windshield wiper motor has a tooth missing on the main gear so it skips or gets stuck sometimes, but that can be easily replaced.
It will need new tires, but the ones on it hold air and roll/drive ok for now.
Someone before me replaced the stock steering wheel with an aftermarket one, but it looks fine in the car.
Everything else about the car is pretty straight for a 36-year old car.
The TH350 tranny is solid and shifts perfectly (before old engine was removed).

There's probably more that I can't think of right now, but that's why I'm selling it. It's been too long for me to remember how to finish.
Take this car off my hands and you've got yourself a super-fun ride in a solid weekend's worth of work.
