Please take a look at this classic '68 Firebird Muscle Car.
Senior owner passed a year ago and the family is now parting with his car. The details are:
1968 Pontiac Firebird
400 Pontiac Engine bored 0.30 over
New Cam, pushrods, lifters and roller rocker setup. Just over 1000 miles since rebuild.
OPTIONS: PS, Pwr Disc Brakes, Alloy Wheels, Tilt Column, Pwr Windows, Pwr Locks (in-op), 6 speed manual transmission from a Corvette, AM/FM/CD (not working), Factory AC, Added Tach & Gauge setup, Custom Dual Exhaust.
EXTERIOR: This is a TN car that has been built to be a very powerful muscle car. Exterior is painted black metalflake with ghost flames. Should be noted the father personalized the fenders after the loss of his son with the name "David". That can likely be color-sanded off and polished just fine if desired. Door gaps are good. No rust on this car. Super solid. Glass is tinted all around. Hood is a fiberglass cowl induction hood with the racing pins to secure it at front. Chrome bumpers are nice. Alloy wheels do not have any curb ras etc. Tires offer good rubber. No breaks/chips in glass observed.
INTERIOR: The Interior is black with alligator-skin added to the door cards and seats. While is strays from original, it is well done. The interior is quite nice. New Carpet. New Pontiac branded floor mats. The dash pad has been replaced. Odometer shows 80k miles which looks correct for the overall condition of this car. Steering wheel exhibits the usual vine cracks from age but is otherwise structurally fine. Added Tach on steering column. Added gauge set at front of the center console. Added custom dome lights. A/M AM/FM/CD player doesn't work-------could be simple fuse issue etc.
MECHANICAL: Engine looks and sounds great. It's mildly "lumpy" with the cam, but nothing that detracts from enjoying the car. Starts easily, idles fine. MSD ignition observed. Electric cooling fan setup. AC is all factory and blows cold. Car runs out nicely, Disc brakes work fine. No leaks. No unusual sounds/odors etc.
This is a well-done solid '68. You can go any direction with this car at the owner's price. You can enjoy this muscle car as is, or return to stock easily enough as everything is available for this car. With plenty of modified Firebirds out there, this is well done at a good price point for the buyer that may still offer some upside yet with age and a few minor improvements.
