By 1968, the original muscle cars were moving away from their roots as relatively cheap, fast cars as they gained options. Although Plymouth already had a performance car in the GTX, it wanted to reincarnate the original muscle car concept in a car able to run 14-second quarter mile times and sell for less than US$3000. Both goals were met, and the Road Runner would outsell the upscale GTX. With only 500 miles on the rebuild of this numbers matching 383 V8 engine and 4-Speed transmission, This 1969 Roadrunner is ready to roll. Insuring the mighty 383 V8 gets plenty of fuel and air is an Edelbrock Carburetor and aluminum intake. Insuring the spent gases are removed efficiently is a set of 2 � inch ceramic coated headers. Giving the 383 its sinister good looks are a black crinkled finish Mopar valve covers and the famous Coyote Duster air breather. An electronic ignition system has been added for easy start-ups. Finished in a brilliant silver and black paint scheme, this car looks fast even sitting still. Inside the interior has been treated to the same silver and black theme.
