1971 Plymouth Duster 340. Tor red/hemi orange in color. Original numbers matching H code 340 car! Vin: VS29H1B...... Production date 8/1970. Starts good, runs good, drives good, sounds good, idles good, stops good. H.D. A-833 4 speed manual with reverse light. Only 1 of 3 Duster 340s that year came with manual shift and even fewer came with the 4 speed. This car has tons of potential. 1971 was the best year for the Duster 340 and the only year you could get the sharktooth grille and the rally dash together. This car is mostly original and still has the carter thermoquad 4 barrel carburator it came with as well as the factory dual snorkel air cleaner with the 340 pie tin, the chrome dual exhaust tips, the fender tag and the original Goodyear E70-14 inch white letter spare tire. Also, it has the original deluxe interior package with rare orange/red and black bucket seats and orange door panels, light package, fender turn signal indicators, 3 spd. wipers, factory AM radio, power steering,150 mph speedometer with trip odometer, and heavy duty suspension with 11 and 10 inch drum brakes. Owned since 1982. Car came from Utah. No rust! Solid frame, solid floors, solid trunk, etc. factory undercoated. Car has been garaged kept since it was brought to Wisconsin and has never been stored/parked outside. This Duster 340 is believed to have around only 80k miles on it which is low for a car this age. Newer clutch with pressure plate and not many miles on it since. This car is used sparingly and gets driven just enough to keep it active. Every time it gets driven, fresh ethanol free super unleaded gets put in it. A new hemi orange paint job with black or white 340 stripes would make this car look like a million bucks. This car has been hidden from the world and it's time for it to be shown, driven, and appreciated. You see Duster 340s at car shows and cruise nights occasionally but they are usually clones.
