1970 Plymouth Duster. Originally a /6 Gold Duster, white with green bench interior car. Now, something a bit nicer! Car has been featured in Mopar Muscle Magazine and has won best of show at Mopars at the Strip. Car details are as follows:
Drivetrain: 73' 360 built by Geddes Race Engines in Colorado Springs, Co. Dual plane intake, W2 heads, roller lifters, Edelbrock 750 carb. Dyno'd at just over 500hp and upper 400's torque. Engine is indestructible, runs great, has less than 5,000 miles on it (don't drive it as much as I'd like). Transmission is a 23 spline 4 speed in great working condition. Rearend is a 8 3/4 with 3.91 sure grip gears. Has large bolt axles (shortened fury axles). Air shocks in rear. Front end is from a 73 Duster, large bolt pattern disk brakes.
Tires: Custom rallye wheels, no beauty rings instead that part of the rim is chromed. Rears are 15x8's on 275's. Fronts are 15x7's on 235's.
Interior: 'deluxe' 340 interior. Pictures show the old rallye dash with a 71 knob radio but it's now got a correct 70 rallye dash with thumbwheel radio. Original tach is upgraded to be electronic. Original mint dash pad. Have dash cigarette lighter, not installed. New carpet, headliner, door panels, etc. Rear seat is newly recovered but does have a 1/2" tear lower drivers side. From buckets need to be recovered, covers are presentable. Driver's bottom does have a tear but not very noticeable. Custom pistol grip shifter from Harms Automotive. Floor mounted cassette player is for show only, does not work as finding the original equipment to make it work is impossible to find.
Body: lower quarters, extensions, and misc. small pieces of rust have been repaired. Body was sprayed in GY3 curious yella in 2002. I'd give it a 7.5/8 out of 10. Hood and top of doors sprayed in a matte black for ease of cleaning but looks like original orgensol black. Dual hood scoops, strobe hood stripe, rallye mirrors, new vinyl top installed in 2002, front and rear spoiler. Grille is in excellent shape but does have one crack in one of the black bars -- good luck finding it! Trim has been polished, grille trim and headlight bezels have been re-dipped. New windshield, rest of glass is used and original, some light scratches throughout. Body overall is roughly a 7.5/8 as there are a few light scratches or chips, car is a driver not a trailer queen!
