1965 Plymouth Belvedere II $14,900 OBO – Dunlap, TN
Spring and cruise-ins are right around the corner. If you are in need of a sharp cruiser that won’t break the bank, this 1965 Plymouth Belvedere II, hardtop coupe is a stunning classic and a great value. The body lines along with the unique roof line makes this Plymouth one of the more desirable and collectable of the 60’s Mopars.
The paint is fresh and has good shine. Body gaps and fit is excellent. Doors close well and fit snug, all bright work including bumpers, stainless and aluminum trim is straight with very good finish. All glass is especially nice without even any wiper blade marks. Light and lens are clear and in good condition.
Underneath the car is extremely solid and apparently have original floor pans and other sheet metal which is unusual for most 60’s cars. Trunk and engine compartment are intact and original looking,
The interior is very nice with no rips, tears or visible signs of wear. The combination of colors, fabrics and style give this Belvedere interior a very stylish 60’s classic roll and pleat look. Dash is original and especially nice with good trim and even the factory AM radio still in place. The small console on the transmission hump contains an AM/FM stereo radio with equalizer and ready for MP3 or satellite radio. The wood grain steering wheel is not a factory option but looks good with the interior and has a good feel when driving.
Power steering and good front suspension makes the car handle and steer well. Drum brakes are on all four corners, just as the car left the factory with, and stop the car very well. The engine is a 318 CI wide block with aluminum Weiland intake, Holley four barrel carburetor and chrome breather. Everything else in the engine compartment looks original and is in its place just as it came. The engine appears to be stock, but it runs strong and sounds good through its dual exhaust. The transmission is a 727 automatic which is one of Mopars better transmissions. The car has steel wheels with dog dish hubcaps and tire sizes are 215/65/15 on the front and 255/60/15 on the rear which gives the Plymouth just the right stance for a good look.
