Offered for Sale by the California Automobile Museum Beautiful 1941 Packard One-Twenty
Car presents very well with very few defects in the paint or body. Small scratch has been touched up on the drivers side lower fender and there is a bit of bubbling paint at the bottom corner of the drivers side door. Chrome and trim is in good shape, one small spot of rust on the passenger side center trim and the trim along the running board is slightly dented in places. Grill is in great shape with the exception of some worn paint (likely original). Rear windows are delaminating slightly but no other cracks or damage to the glass found.
The interior of the car is in wonderful shape. The upholstery shows no damage and wood trim looks fantastic. Original knobs, steering wheel and rearview mirror show age but are in nice shape. Rear window seal is showing its age and a small amount of staining can be seen in the headliner above the passenger door. Rear board in the trunk is sagging and could use some attention.
Engine starts easily and runs incredibly quiet and smooth as to be expected from a straight eight. Manual transmission shifts well and factory overdrive shifts as it should, the overdrive indicator light on the dash is working and is a nice touch. Brakes, suspension and steering are in good working order with no surprises. Temperature gauge in the dash is not working, an auxiliary gauge is mounted down below. All other gauges are working, clock unfortunately is not.
This is a beautiful car with great presence, it is a joy to drive and with the overdrive can actually cruise at freeway speeds without trouble. SOLD
