For sale is a beautiful 1937 Packard 115-c Station Wagon located in our Indianapolis showroom. To compete with Pontiac and Dodge, Packard decided to offer a station wagon to the public in 1937. The station wagon was built on the standard Packard chassis and used the same front fenders, grill, front bumper, hood, and cowl as the other Packard body styles within the series. Packard then contracted Baker-Rauling to build 100 wood station wagon bodies mid-year in 1937 for the model 115-c and Model 120-c body styles. It is believed to be that only two other 1937 Packard station wagons are in existence which makes this one rare Woody!
This particular Packard has received a thorough restoration spanning over a 20 year period. The current owner purchased this Packard back in 1986 out of Washington, D.C. which was then in need of a total restoration. Due to the fact that the wagon had been sitting for many years most of the sheet metal was either missing or unusable, so original parts were sourced from parts cars all over the U.S. The wood body was complete and in surprisingly good shape but required a totally rebuild using the original wood as a template for the new wood you now see on the wagon. Once the body was completed the sheet metal was fitted back on the body and professionally repainted in a beautiful dark blue color that was completed last year. The seats were professionally reupholstered with a modern vinyl equivalent to the material used by the factory to keep as close to original as possible. This 1937 Packard 115-c Station Wagon is powered by its original, rebuilt 237 CID six cylinder engine and is backed by a 3-speed manual transmission with 100 miles on the rebuild. The engine was professionally rebuilt by a Packard specialist and the clutch was replaced along with the transmission inspected at the time of rebuild. Options on this 1937 Packard 115-c Station Wagon for sale include: Vinyl Interior and Wide White Wall Bias Ply Tires. With its distinctive appearance and low production numbers, this '37 Packard
