Offered for sale is this senior-owned 1951 Riley RMB sedan.
Black over green bucket seat leather interior with 4 speed manual transmission and a full vinyl top. Odometer shows 19692 and is believed to be correct.
Fuel tank has already been replaced and was the only sign of any rust at the time the teardown commenced to paint this super solid example.
Of some import is that a LEFT hand drive Riley is somewhat hard to find for its vintage. It has an interesting history where it was ordered new
for a Hollywood producer type in its day, and has only had 3 owners to date.
Generally speaking, these British cars have significant rust, missing parts or other issues that preclude enjoying them, but this one is a rare breed in that it doesn't have any rust except that which was found on its fuel tank. Underside has the usual thin patina to it, but no holes or rust anywhere of any consequence. Grille is complete/undamaged (rare).
Headliner is good. Trunk floor is solid. Original Jack and a spare are included.
The senior owner has driven & enjoyed this car, and was on a quest to remove the trim for paint until he suffered a debilitating health issue prompting its sale.
More interesting still is the green leather interior is remarkably undamaged. The dash is not only complete & functional, the burl wood grain is likewise intact.
The vinyl top is all original and in great shape.
Owner notes the hood is louvered like the Monte Carlo race-editions of its day.
The owner has had this car for approximately 7 years and has started to remove trim & paint for a paint job at the time of this listing.
Located in the middle TN area, asking $12,000.00 obo. The owner has the title for it, not yet put into his name. For that reason, this is sold on a bill of sale and includes its original title.
No trades as this is part of a downsizing effort. No other cars in the photos are offered for sale at this time.
