The Sportster is a line of motorcycles produced continuously by Harley-Davidson since 1957. The XLH883 Hugger was introduced in 1985 and featured a reduced seat height combined with a lowered rear suspension and was the precursor to the XL Low models. This particular example is a 1 owner bike that was sold new by Wildfire Harley Davidson in March of 2001. It was upgraded with chrome engine covers, rocker boxes and wheel hubs as well a 21” front wheel when it was new. In 2003 it was customized by adding an extra 6” in the back bone, a neck with 10 extra degrees, a custom downtube and an 8 over front end by Frank’s Forks. Additionally, it was upgraded with a Jesse James Forty front fender as well as West Coast Choppers Villain gas tank as well as a gorgeous set of their Hellbent pipes. In 2019 it was completely torn apart and rebuilt during which time it was upgraded with new spoked aluminum rims, Machine Design triple trees, Bitwell handlebars, a marine ignition, a Yankee Ingenuity ignition coil, a new power regulator, Dr. Neon spark plug wires that glow purple when running as well as H-D forward controls with custom linkage so you can shift from the forward pedals. It was fit with a complete set of matching custom etched Joker Machine risers as well as their gas cap and brake pedal reservoir. The Corbin seat was licensed by Joker Machine to be stitched with their logo. It also has a long list of other Joker Machine items which include the headlamp, grips, speedo mount, axel covers and engine bolt covers. Of course the bike was thoroughly serviced and also received all new lines and cables. The engine has not been modified internally and runs great. It was also completely repainted in a Nouvelle Blue Pearl from an Acura NSX. All said and done the recent makeover alone cost more than we are asking and does not even include the cost of the original bike. SOLD
