Standard equipment included leather saddlebags with fringe, whitewalls, fishtail mufflers and passing lamps to give it the look of a 48 FL Panhead. Radical changes came in 2000 which included a new frame with improved geometry that dramatically enhanced the ride. Changing the frame required a long list of items to be changed which included the oil bag, the seat, the shocks, wheels, brakes, rotors, foot controls, the wiring harness and the 80” EVO was upgraded with a 88” Twin Cam that was mounted directly to the new transmission for increased strength. This particular example was optioned in Sinister Blue Pearl and has been significantly upgraded. The first thing you will notice are the 100 spoke rims from American Wire that really set the bike off. Other upgrades include the hard saddle bags, the tour pak, rear air ride, 16” Chubby apes, steel braided lines and cables, chrome housings and switches, a chrome master cylinder, custom levers, custom grips, fog lights, blue LED accent lights, air horns, an oil gauge and chrome bag extensions with lights. You will also appreciate the Kuryakyn air cleaner as it does a great job of feeding the nasty sounding performance exhaust with fishtails. As if that isn’t enough there is also an 800 watt 6 speaker sound system. The Kenwood AM/FM CD player has XM and the marine remote is mounted to the handlebars. The 6.5” mids are attached to the crash bar, there are 2” tweeters attached to the handlebars and 6X9’s inside the bags. The entire engine was rebuilt by City Limits H-D at 68,649 miles and Fornarelli Motorsports ported the heads, installed new rings and gaskets, rebuilt the carb and dyno tuned it at 86,000 miles. All said and done close to $20,000 has been spent on customizing this timeless classic yet we have priced it as if it were stock.
