Up for sale in our Tampa Showroom is this open-wheel roadster, the 1978 Formula VEE Race Car. Built for only one thing in mind, speed, this little roadster is ready for some track time. Keep in mind, this little car is not street-legal, but it does carry a registration and vehicle identification number. Mounted up to this car is a 1640 CC Volkswagen engine, built from the 65 horsepower casing to little car is ready to roll at the track. Top this baby off with a factory Volkswagen manual transmission with custom linkage, making driving this car very easy. The front suspension is a torsion style with Bilstein shocks, and the rear is mono-shock coilovers for solid suspension reaction around the track. Stopping this car is a breeze, with front disk brakes and rear drums, supplied by a double master cylinder, and supplied with stainless steel brake lines. The wheels are custom aluminum/alloy wheels, wrapped up in Kumho tires that give you a strong level of grip and responsiveness around the course. Cooling is taken care of with a full coil radiator, as well as oil cooler, to maintain and reduce overall wear and tear of the engine. This open wheel Formula VEE comes equipped with all the standard racing equipment necessary, including a 5 point racing harness, quick disconnect electrical system, and of course a quick release steering wheel. The body is a solid fiberglass body, painted in red and gray, and built off the Lynx Type chassis. Racers, get ready to roll with this quick little car!
