Located in Eureka Montana 59917. Very clean, straight, and rust free 1949 Federal 15M model truck. This truck is a 71 year old survivor. No rust. No dents. Very dry truck. Original owners manual! This truck originally had a flathead inline six. It was replaced at some point with a pontiac inline straight 8. That's an inline 8 cylinder. It fits nicely and nothing was cut for the install. It looks like an adapter was machined to put this engine in, and that moved the transmission back so the shifter is now coming up through the seat, farmer style! I'm sure that could be changed with a shifter modification. Or just recover the seat with a shifter boot built in. I doubt most people are going to be cruising this with three people in it, so the shifter may not be in the way for most people. Many people will use this body on a more modern chassis (cummins) also. I guess you can do it up how you want. The engine needs tuned up and the carb rebuilt. I took a carb off my '50 pontiac just to get it running, then put the original carb back on. I had it running briefly but it has a cracked rubber oil line leaking so I shut if off. The oil line goes to the oil pressure gauge. It sounded ok and obviously has oil pressure. This truck has power brakes but I'm sure the master cylinder needs replaced/rebuilt. 4-speed manual works fine and the clutch works. Parking brake works for loading. I have the rear duals and I can strap them on the back if you want them. The doors, windows, windshields, and hoods open/close as they should. The windshields open on these for vents. The horn and heater work. I think the lights too but I'd have to check that. Most people re-wire rigs this old anyways due to the older insulated style wiring. Nothing is damaged though that I see. Both original body tags are on it still and in good shape. I'm getting a new title in my name back any day from the DMV. Rolls, steers fine. There are no dents to speak of. Cab lights are original. There is no dent in the back of the cab. there is just a line where it was painted at some point. Nice original gauges. Headliner and visors are in it. This truck was in the same family until this year. It's been off the road for 30-40 years approximately. I can help arrange shipping if needed. I have more pics I can send for serious buyers. No trades. SOLD
