For sale is a 1960 Nash Metropolitan located in our Indianapolis showroom. In the mid 50’s it seems that all of the big American auto manufacturers were in the mindset that bigger is better, and why wouldn’t they be? The war was over and American prosperity was reaching new heights. However there was one company that was doing a little thinking outside the box, and that company was Hudson/Nash. Designed as the ultimate commuter car the Metropolitan was a small economic and easy to drive car that had great styling and price. This 1960 Nash Metropolitan is powered by its original rebuilt 1500cc Inline 4 cylinder engine (930 miles since rebuild) and is backed by a 3-speed manual transmission. Coming in under 2,000 lbs., the 1.5 liter engine has plenty of power to get this little Nash down the road and gets 30 to 40 MPG's! This '60 Metro has seen a repaint in a two-tone Coral Red and Frost White paint scheme. The interior is done in a black and white hounds tooth cloth and compliments the exterior very well.
