Very rare Ragtop fully restored 1967 Morris Cooper S original Souther California LHD from day of delivery, restored on a 1962 Rust free shell with Wesbasto Sunroof with a black top. Full bare shell restoration blasted completely inside and outside including all detached parts using plastic media and fully painted untire shell red .Still retaining all of its original panels.
Fully custom interior with ultra rare Paddy Hopkirk Recaro seats, with rokee wood dash in perfect condition with 130 speedo and 8,000 rpm Smith tachometer and Sony CD 4 speakers power antenna with very kool remote by driver side floor.
featuring a real and low milage since complete rebuilt, very rare matching no# 1275 Cooper S block built to 1293 CC with ENB40 crank with 12G940 S cylinder head. Engine and tranny fully built by David Anton { understudy to David Vizard } in is Souther California Shop. Over $2K USD was spend on the cylinder head alone which was ported and polish, and flowed with roller rockers. Dish top pistons, slightly lightened flyweel, ARP Main, rods, and head/bolts, balanced and shot peened rods, Chromoly push rods, chilled lifters, Vizard VP6 cam RPM range 2400 to 7200-275 duration/268 lift, high output oil pump, oil kooler, headers with RC40 hexaust with twin 1-1/2" SU's HS4 with KN filters and Petronix electronic ignition. Transmission completly rebuilt linkages are nice and tight and precise and the gears were change from the 3:44 ration to 3:10/1 ration, more like an overdrive or 5th gear.
Fully powder coated subframes with all new suspansion with Spax adjustable yellows front and rear, 5/10 minilights shod with Yokohamas 008 165/70/10 Coopers front disk with Superminifins in rears. Dual gas tank with Aston competition caps. Very rare front sumpguard tp protect the trans housing. Overall 10K miles as been put on this S since the restoration and still look as new today, pulls very very strong and very well sorted, one of the better ones out there. This Cooper S is very similar like the one that Steve McQueen use to own, he ad a 61 Cooper S other then the color of brown is was equipt very similar like this one, but obviously Steve's McQueen Cooper would bring well over the 6 figures range.
There are probably less expansive Mini's out there 4 sale, but definetly not done like this one and especially with rare no longer available period correct parts. Collector owner and not abuse. Serious inquiries only please, Comes with B.M.H.C which shows car was SOLD new in California, Thank you.
