1965 Mercury Parklane Convertible... PRICE REDUCED! Less than 63,000 original miles. Complete and original except for paint. This is a fairly rare car with only about 3,000 originally produced. Who knows how many still exist.
This car has factory air (not working) and electric eye automatic dimmer. Engine is 390 2 barrel. New: wheel cylinders, brakes, shocks, exhaust system, battery, vacuum lines, emergency brake cable, heater core, starter, rebuilt carburetor, master brake booster, glove box, trunk mat & panels, top boot, spare tire. Still has bias tires to keep it original but a set of radials would improve the smooth ride even more. Owner's manual and shop manual and original sales literature. Everything is original except for the repairs above, top and paint. Interior is in excellent original condition. Top is not original but in good condition except for one small repaired puncture. (see pictures). Body paint is older and not very well done. I consider it a 20 footer as it looks good from a distance and overall is a very attractive, head turner car. The body and frame appears to have been originally undercoated and much of that has peeled off. It does have a lot of surface rust where undercoating is gone and the frame does have some rust holes. I am sure the body (rear quarter panels) have some bondo rust repairs as well from last paint job many years ago. It is a great driver or a great candidate for a complete restoration. Either way you will have an asset that will only increase in value. Only reason I am selling is because I have way too many convertibles and need to make some room. REDUCED TO $17,900.
