This is a 1967 Mercury Cyclone GT 390 with close ratio 4-speed. One of only 3,797 built that year. As you can see in the pictures this was a complete rotisserie restoration done. The car was customized instead of going back to original by doing the following things.
2" Drop Spindles on the front to lower the car. A Chromed 4 link rear suspension was added with adjustable shock mounts for raising and lowering the rear of the car. Fully adjustable Chrome QA-1 coil over shocks on all four corners. Narrowed 9" rear end (only 2" on each side) with custom made Mark Williams axles. It has posi-trac with 411 gears and four wheel disc brakes. The 390 was built and dynoed by Kidd Performance. They increased stroke to a 406 and added aluminum heads and intake. The headers are ceramic coated and the exhaust is polished stainless steel. The motor was dynoed at 450 HP and 500 FT. LBS. of torque. An aluminum radiator was installed for better cooling. The transmission was completely gone through and rebuilt. Gauges by Autometer replaced the originals and a custom stereo, subwoofer and AMPs were installed by Power Plant Car Audio. Keyless entry. Interior upholstery is leather and suede with the GT emblem stitched into the front seats. All new dash cover and head liner as well as custom made door panels with a custom fitted carpet kit. The hood is the original fiberglass hood. The rims are custom made, polished aluminum, race line wheels with Toyo tires. Every suspension piece has been replaced along with all bushings, nuts and bolts. Brand new fuse panel and wiring, new fuel tank, and all chrome was re-done. The car was completed in July of 2011.
This is not a winter car, the heater core was pressure tested but not hooked up.
