¬¬Beautiful classic 1973 Cougar XR7 Convertible is in amazing condition. It looks and runs great! This is a Hollywood car. It has never seen snow or been in an accident, and is an experience to drive.
By the mid 1970's Cougars had evolved into a ''midsize'' car that was built for luxury and power. This is a sterling example of Ford's strategy to build a car for the upper segment of the car buying public, with no chance of competition from overseas manufactures.
The total number of Cougar XR7 Convertibles produced in 1973 was only 3,166. This was the last year of the Ford built convertible for many years.
This low mileage specimen is loaded with factory options, including a healthy Cleveland 2v 351 cu inch engine, automatic transmission, power steering, power disc brakes, power convertible top, power windows, tilt steering wheel, air conditioning, gauge package,(which includes a factory tachometer), AM/FM radio and white leather interior.
Rarely driven, this beautiful rust free native California cruiser spent the majority of its existence comfortably tucked away in a garage, like a time capsule!
New custom stitched, white leather now graces the original, very comfortable, hi-back bucket seats, and the original , embossed Cougar insignia's were retained to assure a showroom fresh appearance. The white, convertible top was recently replaced, and professionally installed, and works flawlessly.
This light blue XR7 Convertible has original paint, and wears a few minor blemishes and dings, which are common on cars of this vintage.
The condition of the engine and engine bay is remarkable, even the original decals and stickers are still intact!
Nada Guide lists this car at over $18,000 in average condition!Go to https://www.facebook.com/Cougarforsale for more pictures!
