1961 Mercury Comet

FOR SALE: 1961 Mercury Comet 2 door sedan. I've owned her for 14 years and have enjoyed every single minute of it. 39K+ is on the odometer and while I have no documentation, the couple (they had car less than 1 year) that I purchased her from said that it is original mileage (info from the original owners). I will let you make that call. (control pedals show very minimal wear and appear to be original).

Original & strong 6 cy. engine. 3 speed on column. Good carb. Runs very well. Keeps great temp/radiator. All controls work: heat, choke, parking brake, dome light, dash etc.. Uses no oil. Clutch is good. (Aux on the key is not working) Body is super straight. Stainless trim is excellent. All glass is original FOMOCO. Seats professionally redone (with ORIGINAL glitter inset fabric that was stashed in the truck by the original owners! You won't find better looking) exact fit carpet, custom floor mats. Some front end work done. Pertronix ignition installed (points, ugggh.) It has new tires, alignment, front shocks & new battery. New gas tank when car was purchased by me. Has 10 disc CD changer in trunk.

Needs a few things done such as a headliner. (I have all the materials for the job.) I have front and rear window seals as well as matching windlace. Needs a couple of touch ups on the drivers side metal near armrest. Small touch up needed on passenger side rear. Window felts are starting to show age.
