I’m the 3rd owner of this original Colorado car and have recently added a few of my own modifications including new carpet with matching floor mats with embroidered Comet logo. New headliner with matching visors. Re-chromed bumpers, tail light surrounds and fender ornaments. In addition, stainless steel grill and tailgate trim has been stripped, straightened & polished. The paint is exceptional and was done by the 2nd owner when he took the car down to bare metal, then epoxy primed before painting in PPG paint from the base coat to the clear coat, (Color comes from a late model Toyota Prius). No rust in this car. Top of the car was finished off with a brilliant silver metal flake paint.
I’ve owned this car for a little over a year now and have enjoyed driving it to work and car shows. It completed a 1,000-mile drive to the HAMB Drags while getting 23 MPG. It’s a conversation piece everywhere I go and the Bellflower exhaust tips give it a real cool sound. However, it’s lowered stance is getting more and more difficult on my old knees to get in and out of this car so I figure it’s time for someone else to have some fun with it. The car drives extremely smooth and has plenty of power. Driving a lowered car requires attention to speed bumps, etc. You won’t be disappointed if you come to buy this car!
