At this price, you are getting a really good car. I am the second owner. The body is as it was cosmetically when I purchased it. The engine bay was repainted to factory spec color. The engine and transmission were pulled for cleaning and inspection. The engine was rebuilt by an engine shop. New motor and transmission mounts. All brake lines, fuel lines and vacuum lines have been replaced. Most brake components gone through and replaced other than the drums and back plates which are still good and have been cleaned and powder coated. So many worn out parts have been replaced. New radiator, hoses, rebuilt carburetor, new electric wiper motor kit, flushed out and inspected heater core. I have an entire list of many parts that have been replaced in order to get the car back on the road and mechanically reliable for long road trips. I keep a log book on the car to track maintenance and parts replaced and trips taken. It has been on several road trips to several different states. The car is very reliable. With the new Coker tires, engine rebuild, new gas tank, new complete exhaust and everything else that's been done to it since I have owned it, I have only driven the car around 7000 miles. Original headliner is still in place and in great condition. Original upholstery and carpet. Virtually no rust and no bondo on this car. Comes with extra set of full size wheel covers, new-in-box transmission oil cooler, engine oil cooler, as well as brand new chrome headers with gasket and down pipe. An interesting fact on the car's history is that the previous owner of this Comet was one of the co-owners of Comet Motor Coach Company. In 1959 Ford Motor Company negotiated with Comet Motor Coach Company the sale of the rights to use the name
