Seldom do you see a 1966 Comet Caliente cruising the streets, especially one such as this with custom paint work over a slick, straight, rust free body. The two tone color scheme makes the car very noticeable. This car draws much attention and lots of looks. Even though the car looks really sharp it’s not a show car, but instead a very nice quality driver.
The Comet runs and drives great. It’s a real pleasure to cruise in with its headers, dual exhaust and throaty mufflers that give it just the right sound. Its power comes from a 289 CI small block engine. The Comet has a small cam for sound, high energy distributor, C-4 automatic transmission, power steering and power brakes.
Tires are 205/75/15 on the front and 255/7/15 on the rear and are in good shape. Steel wheels and dog dish hubcaps give the Comet the right stance and look. All bright work and glass are very good. One nice touch is two fog lights made into the front bumper that burn when headlights are dim and go out when headlights go to bright beams. There is an AM/FM cassette in dash in the correct location. The hood scoop and custom steering wheel are also nice touches.
Interior is new from headliner to carpet, including new door panels. The trunk is original looking and fresh.
