Vehicle Has Been Sold! 1951 Mercury 4 door sedan. What a great find! How many straight original Mercurys are left? This car is original and is 99% complete, even has the keys in the ignition. The hubcaps are lying in the trunk. There are lots of extra parts lying in the rear seat too. If you are looking for a solid car to build here is your car. There is some minor rust through in the rocker panels and a little in the floors. The trunk floor is solid too. The front clip is good, and the doors open and close great. All the glass is there and none is broken. The body is straight, and still has black paint on it. The interior is complete all the window moldings, handles, and even has the original radio. The seats are original, but the fabric on the seats is in poor condition. The original engine is a Flat head V8, with a 3 speed transmission. Grandpa drove this car about 5 years ago, and the motor is very tired, so will need to be rebuilt. Nice thing about this engine is it is complete right down to the correct air cleaner. The bumpers and grille are straight, and the outside trim is there. One rear tail light housing is broken on the bottom area, but there is another tail light housing inside the car.
