The Mercedes-Benz SL Class is a luxury roadster that was first introduced for the 1954 model year. The SL designation was first applied to the 300SL and has since been marketed in many variations with numerous engine configurations that span 6 design generations. The 3rd generation SL was available from 1972 – 1989. In 1986 it received many desirable updates some of which include the more efficient 4 pot brakes with larger discs, an updated suspension (derived from the E Class sedans), Burl wood trim accents, carpeting that matches the leather, a full size spare, a temperature gauge, factory a/c and power windows. It is also optioned with a driver air bag, an electrically adjustable passenger mirror, the Becker radio with cassette, an automatic antenna, an anti-theft warning system and cruise control. The 560 SL was only sold in the USA, Canada, Japan and Australia. This particular example is a 3 owner car that has been in the same family for almost 10 years during which time it has never been driven in the winter. Ordered in Ascot Gray with a Gray leather interior and a Black soft top this beauty has only 106,632 original miles. It is completely original except for the factory stereo which was replaced with a much better sounding Alpine CD player. It has been serviced regularly, it just received all new brakes and the A/C has a new compressor and was just recharged. The optional hard top is included as is a hoist for easy removal and storage. The best part is that this car has been extremely well cared for and shows exceptionally well for a 32 year old car. If you could see yourself cruising in this timeless classic you better call us because it will not last long at the price we are asking! SOLD
