The Mercedes-Benz SL Class is a luxury roadster that was first introduced for the 1954 model year. The SL designation was first applied to the 300 SL and has since been marketed in many variations with numerous engine configurations that span 6 design generations. The 3rd generation SL was available from 1972 – 1989. In 1986 it received many desirable updates some of which include the more efficient 4 pot brakes with larger discs, an updated suspension (derived from the E Class sedans), Burl wood trim accents, carpeting that matches the leather, a full size spare, a temperature gauge, factory a/c and power windows. The 560 SL was only sold in the USA, Canada, Japan and Australia. This particular example is a 2 family car that has been in the same family for 21 years. Ordered in Nautical Blue with a Palomino leather interior and a Blue soft top this beauty has only 46,188 original miles. It is also heavily optioned with a driver air bag, an electrically adjustable passenger mirror, the Becker radio with cassette, an automatic antenna, an anti-theft warning system and cruise control. The factory stereo was replaced with a CD player but the original Becker stereo with cassette will be included with your purchase if desired. It was just serviced during which time it received a new battery, new tires, a new fuel pump and a new fuel filter. With the exception of the a/c which needs recharging everything is working properly. The best part is that this car has been meticulously cared and shows exceptionally well for a 30 year old car with 46,000 miles.
