For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a 1976 Mercedes-Benz 450 SL. The R107 chassis used for the 450 SL was a great success for Mercedes. Produced from 1972 - 1989 with over 300,000 produced. Engines ranged from a 2.8 inline 6 to a 5.6 V8 and available in either manual 4 or 5 speed form or a 3 or 4 speed automatic transmission. This 1976 450SL is equipped with a 4.5 litre V8 producing 222 horsepower and 278 lbs-ft of torque. Equipped like a typical Mercedes of the time with leather buckets, AM/FM radio and cassette player, alloy wheels, intermittent wipers, power windows, power steering, power brakes and cruise control.
