For nearly a decade the W116 body Mercedes was hailed as the most advanced, finest driving, and safest luxury sedan on the market. Even by today's advanced standards, these are magnificent driving cars. They are a reliable, spacious, and wonderful high-speed road cars. These cars were offered with many different engine choices and body styles. Offered in a short or long wheelbase, this 450 SEL is the most desirable of all. It has the 4.5 L V-8 engine and the longer wheelbase for a very spacious rear seat.

There is no cracking on the dash or door panels. The wood veneer is all magnificent with no cracks or fading. Even the carpeting still looks as impressive as it did 40 years ago.
