1990 Mercedes 300 E 4-matic sedan. (Lowest price!!) Hydraulic Self leveling Suspension. This car drives brilliantly or beautifully depending on where you’re from. After you take it for a spin you will agree. Single overhead cam straight 6 3.0L.( not the smaller 2.4)No rust. I would trust this car to drive anywhere today!! Unmolested/unmodified.
This was over a $52,000 car back in 1990 for base. Then add 4-matic, self leveling suspension, leather & sunroof. Lots of options including the big straight 6 3.0L. automatic all wheel drive when needed, central locking, power everything, headlight wipers, power headrest(what? Cars today don’t have that), power sunroof, power telescoping/tilt steering wheel and lots more....... recent New parts>radiator, thermostat, C/V boots, and muffler. The AC does not work but it is very close. The compressor does operate but not for very long. If you know cars you will know if the compressor comes on it has some coolant in it already. And if you know how to add R 12...I’d like help. I’ve got R12, and A manifold I just don’t know how to put it in. If you do let me know!!! Even if you don’t want the car. I may keep it!! You don’t see these cars in this condition very often.
Good original paint, great leather, great glass, great carpet, great original floor mats, great headliner, great battery, tires are old but suit my under 80mph driving and even a great big clean trunk. No rust. Nothing needs serviced. 3 things don’t work.. a/c, cruise, and 4Matic. Oil/filter , coolant and transmission filter/fluid are all recently serviced.. good tags clean clear title in my name. The only thing I believe it does not have is heated seats. It has every other option that I can see.
Definite current/future collectible and with the very rare 4 matic sedan. ( The 4-matic was more common in the wagon estate).
This car is not perfect but a beautiful example. This dash has no cracks. No accidents. This is a rare opportunity and to find one unmolested is rare too. I don’t have inside storage to keep this as nice as it is.
