1962 MGA mark II roadster in original chariot red presents very well. Car overall is an excellent example, chrome and interior in excellent condition. The MGA has a strong engine with cylinder pressures all within 145-150 psi. The MGA has the original 4 speed and upgraded 1968 1800cc engine. However, I have the original number matching 1622cc engine crated in storage. The car is not a trailer queen show car but presents very well and is a high-end driver and local car shows. The MGA has been upgraded to negative ground along with petronix ignition system and using a weber carb. However, I have the original SU carbs which are in excellent condition along with the manifold and the car comes equipped with the side windows and soft storage cases.
The 1962 MGA was the last year and most desirable for investment with the upgraded engine and disc brakes upfront. The car as well has been upgraded with additional fan in front of the radiator and upgraded to an aluminum radiator but once again I have the gold standard radiator which looks like brand new. Prospective buyer will also note the finished trunk with carpet and correct spare tire and bracket. The car has heat and noise mat lining the floor of the car along with new floor boards when the car was restored. The tonneau cover is in perfect condition and the top which is tan is folded in the proper location behind the seat.
Additionally, I have history of the car and pictures dating back to approximately 1986 with one of the early restorations including body and frame prep and engine rebuild. The car only has 12,500 miles on it over the last 30 years. This car can stand as is, as a great driver’s car and do well at the local car shows. Because the MGA has a rust-free solid frame and body, original color and has the pedigree of a Mark II with original number matching engine, it has the capability to be a top-flight show car with the original 1622cc, if someone wants to take it to the next level. The car is a rust free car and absolutely nothing under the car or behind the fenders. The body was painted in a single stage enamel in original orient red. The MGA has approximately 3000 miles on new tires and recently replaced the pinion seal; I have recently rebuilt the weber carb, set the valves, oil change, new battery this last Summer. I also have installed a cut out switch to prevent battery drain and anyone trying to hot wire the car. The car has not seen rain in over 30 years based on the history of the car. I have owned the car 3 years and always garaged with a car cover. This is a super good looking package Contact Keven either call, text or email. Thank you. SOLD
