Not only is this car a real creampuff but it is one of the more fully equipped ’82 Lincolns around. This Mark VI is powered by the ever popular and beloved 5.0 Liter V8 backed by a 4-Speed Automatic transmission. Options on this vehicle include power windows, power locks, cruise control, tilt wheel, keyless entry, electric factory sunroof, leather seating, digital dash readout and a Dolby AM/FM Stereo with cassette player. As Lincolns Flagship Line, the Mark VI had options that were not available on the Town Car and sported vacuum-operated flip-up headlamps, oval opera windows on the c-pillars, a raised “bustleback” trunklid and slightly different grille.
By 1982 Ford was at the top of their game with the Lincoln Line and The Mark VI was one of the first cars seen with several features commonly seen today; it came with pushbutton keyless entry, digital instrumentation (VFD), and trip computer. Also, it was the first year for the EEC III engine management system which kept fuel economy high and emissions low, an industry first.
