The 1956 Lincoln Continental Mark II was the first year of the second generation. A large number of power-equipment features were included. The Mark II was offered with a single option: $595 for air conditioning and this car is so equipped. The 368 cu in 6.0L Y-block V8 starts, runs and drives well, boasting 285HP from the factory. In 2010 over $6,000 of mechanical work was done to ensure its drivability including: carburetor rebuild, push rods, exhaust valves and seats, heads rebuilt, hoses, belts, heater motor and more. Brakes, suspension and handling are all in good working order. The car was re-painted many years ago in Pastoral Blue by a previous owner, paint would be considered a twenty footer with a few scuffs.
