Few cars change the automotive landscape. The XK series did that, starting with the XK-120, which debuted in 1948 to show off the new 3.6L XK engine. The public fell in love with the car and Jaguar responded by putting it into production. The new engine also performed well, with a top speed of 132.6 MPH. This made the XK-120 the fastest production car in the world at the time. This open two-seat sports car is a Heritage certified restored example and is complete with its original powertrain. This 120's black roadster soft top and matching side curtain windows are surrounded by glossy red paint covering the sculpted metal body. In 1951, wire wheels became available and replaced the rear spats and steel wheels on many XK's, including this one. Restored to both show and drive, this Jaguar has an auxiliary fan to keep the engine cool and a hidden turn signal switch for added safety. This car also has the AM radio, which is one of the few factory options. Driving this Jaguar is a wonderful experience for the senses, there is nothing quite like it. This is an exceptional example that rewards the driver, mile after joyous mile.
