Here we have our very own stunning Jaguar Mk2 for sale. This car is perfect in every single way and must be one of the best anywhere in the world.

She has a high torque 4.2 litre Jaguar straight six engine and fully modernised electrics and modern air conditioning.

Originally built for a high profile West Coast Lawyer to travel Europe on his holiday she has since had even more work done. The last bill from JD Classics in London was for £51,946.00.

She has fully adjustable suspension all round with independent rear suspension fitted with a Limited Slip Diff. This gives her the perfect combination of “Grace and Pace”.

Every single aspect of this Jaguar Mk2 is perfection from the sound of the 4.2 high torque engine to the modern Air conditioning system.

JD Classics Market valuation certificate of £100,000

More info:

The car was originally delivered to new york. The first major restoration and conversion to 4.2 engine and independent rear suspension etc was carried out in the states for a prominent west coast lawyer for a touring holiday of Europe.

The Conversion to 4.2 and suspension, gearbox uprated brakes and power steering were done in the States in 2008 but we do not have a build sheet. The rear suspension has anti tramp bars fitted and is a full race spec setup. The quality of the work is perfect and could be shown at a car show with mirrors under the car.

I had JD Classic’s go through the car completely. Car has completed 9000 miles since 2008.

We have obtained the original heritage certificate for the car and this shows the car was originally Pearl Grey with a red interior. The interior is brand new at the time of the work and still is in effect brand new and stunning. The seats are fully reclining and she has an original Derrington steering wheel.

Jd Classics the advertised and sold the car to a Belgium dealer in 2010 who wanted a family classic to attend the Goodwood festival. I bought the car from the dealer in Belgium in 2011.

I was unhappy with the air-con so arranged to take it straight to JD and you know how one job leads to another. They fitted their air-con system remote central locking and cat 1 alarm stripped the engine and rebuilt all that needed.

Replaced the clutch rebuilt the rear diff and many other small bits to make it as good as possible. The carbs are triple SU. The cam is a fast road cam but quite mild and with the high torque engine makes it a fantastic relaxed drive with more power than you would ever need.

The gearbox is a 5 speed full synchro manual and changes perfectly.

The heads have been worked and changed with hardened seats etc to run on unleaded petrol. JD also fitted their hand made full stainless headers and exhaust and the sound is amazing.

The car is basically concourse and the only problem I have had is the crowds that gather whenever you stop anywhere.

When I took the car to JD Classic’s they changed the Air con system for their own (This alone was £11,000) this meant tidying up of all the plumbing to JD standard. The car had the battery in the boot to accommodate the original aircon system but JD moved this back to the front with their system and fitted the lightweight race battery.

The brakes are uprated discs and have been fitted with ECB "Green stuff" pads which are spectacular. The steering is a full power assisted rack and pinion system and again is perfect in every way.

The car is a spectacular one, as I say the biggest issue has been the crowds she draws, stop for fuel and truck drivers come over for a chat. Park in Marbella marina and Ferrari drivers come over for a chat. She is fantastic in traffic and fantastic on the highway. I would not have a second thought getting in her this morning and driving to the south of France.
