Thanks for stopping by to view our listing for a very cool Honda Z600 Coupe. These Z600 Coupes represented the beginning of the Japanese hot hatch and JDM movement in the US. Developed from Motorcycle roots, the Air Cooled 2 cylinder with an 8000 RPM Tach moves this super lightweight along at a fast clip. These cars were originally sold in Honda motorcycle dealerships alongside their 2 wheeled cousins because there were no Honda auto dealers in existence.
Updated in Southern California JDM style, this Z Coupe features an aggressive stance, Fat Cosmics, Boss Audio, cool graphics and a wailing exhaust note you’ll love. Two stage clear coated paint means this shine won’t fade.
Rarity
Few and far between in 2016, many of these cars were delivered to the eastern US where rust took its toll. Note that this is an Early VIN car with small bumpers! Check this against later cars. The first few cars had narrow rear bumpers. This is one of those few that survived.
Exterior.
Fresh two stage respray in Summit White has been color sanded, polished and buffed to a high sheen. The car was disassembled and painted inside and out. Badges, antenna and side marker lights have been shaved. Chrome trim is now monochrome body color. The front bumper has been tucked in tight with the crossbar and signals removed. A smooth custom grill, halogen headlights and custom spoiler finish out the aggressive styling. Custom rear license tag mount with led lighting. Rising Sun graphic and BRE style fender stripes.
Wheels, Tires
Rare 10” x 6” English Cosmic mags have been restored and fitted with new 205 50 10 tires.
Engine
598cc, 2 cylinder runs great. Polished head and Carburetor. Fresh tuned exhaust with custom tip. Detailed engine compartment. We two rather large fellows tore through the hills of Carmel CA last week in this little hotrod. It drives like a grown up go-kart.
Transmission
4 Speed transmission operates perfectly. Custom shifter knob.
Braking, Steering
Brake systems have been completely gone through and function perfectly. New shocks, pads, shoes, cylinders, brake lines. Steering is precise. Detailed underneath.
