1978 GMC Motorhome 

Classic 1978 GMC Motorhome. Restored, updated and customized over the last 4 years. Mechanically sound condition. Aerodynamic body made out of fiberglass and aluminum. Low height/entry due to rear-tandem axle design with air bags (instead of cross-vehicle axles of conventional RV-trucks). Toronado front-wheel drive powertrain. Very smooth ride and handling.
The interior was gutted entirely, all furniture and dash (incl. back-up display) were built from scratch. Full-length wooden ceiling, with three vents/fans (reverse control and thermostat) and two A/C units, from cab to rear bed. The elevated bed delivers an impressive panorama. All new seats/beds. African wood vinyl floor. Digital displays for living systems and “Digi panel” at dash.

All details of this timeless styled “Mini Mansion” are purpose-driven to create a unique, habitable, and recreational vehicle. The result is a superb travel and camping experience for 2-3 persons (sleeps 4 persons max). The open floor plan allows for lots of free space without compromising on spaces/compartments for storage.

A solar system with more than 800 amps allows for boondocking, rarely running the generator (many great & peaceful campsites do not supply power). The 24” TV flatscreen with DVD runs off 12V or 120 V, if desired with audio playing over the 10-speaker sound system. Numerous choices of dimmalbe warm or cool white energy efficient LED lights, hard wired and remote controlled.

After the engine top end rebuild more new parts were installed for new steering and new brakes.

Currently, the odometer reads close to 15,700 (115,700) miles. All major mechanical work was done less than 4,000 miles ago.
